This is a senior appointment with a well-established and growing Scottish law firm. You will lead the residential conveyancing function across multiple offices, managing teams in both Glasgow and Edinburgh. The role suits an experienced solicitor who combines technical strength in conveyancing with strong leadership and operational skills. You will oversee a busy caseload environment, drive performance and compliance, and play an active role in shaping strategy as part of the Senior Leadership Team. The Opportunity
Work as part of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) of this established, and scaling, firm to lead, develop and grow a high‑performing conveyancing team in both Glasgow & Edinburgh across sales/purchases, remortgages, new‑build and lender panels.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational leadership of the conveyancing function across multiple offices.
- Work alongside the SLT to deliver high performance to the business.
- Drive caseload efficiency, MI and client experience.
- Manage lender relationships and panel compliance.
- Coach, develop and recruit fee‑earners; resource planning.
- Oversee risk, complaints and quality standards (CQS).
About You
- Scottish qualified solicitor with 5+ years’ PQE in residential conveyancing.
- Team leadership/people management experience.
- Strong operational mindset and comfort with case management systems.
- Excellent client handling and stakeholder management.
